Hummus the #arabdip. Originally from the Middle East, Hummus has traveled around the whole globe and been on the tongue of every person that ever lived. It has become a food necessity. Whether you are eating it with chips, or fries, or even on the side of a burger. Hummus has become THE Dip. Hummus is a very easy recipe and very quick to make.

Recipe

Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups dried chickpeas or Boxed Tahini Hummus

- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons tahini (light roast)

- 4 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

- 3 tablespoons of olive oil

- Salt, to taste

- Good quality olive oil, to serve (optional)

Preparations

- When making Hummus, you can either start with the chickpeas or with the tahini. Either way if you have the Chickpeas you want to wash them very well after taking them out of the can. And make sure that their outer shell is peeled off.

- Then you will proceed with drying them with a paper towel, until you feel that it is not too wet or too dry. After that you will place them in a food processor and put the chickpeas in them. You will stop the food processor when the Chickpeas are in a thick liquid form.

- Then you will put in the Tahini, Olive Oil, Salt, and Lemon Juice and turn the food processor on. And keep it on until it looks like a paste.

- Then you can taste it and decide if it needs a little more oil or salt to taste. But you have now reached the perfect form of hummus that will give you a great texture.

- You will take the hummus and put it in a serving plate and make it look however you like. If you would like to make it look like the traditional Lebanese hummus there are two ways. You can either put in Olive oil on the top and make it very simple or if you want to go extra you can get Parsley , tomatoes, and pomegranate seeds. And decorate it, by putting the pomegranate seeds in the middle, and the cutting the parsley small and the tomatoes small and putting it on four corners, then generously adding olive oil on top.

And when you are done, you can buy a box of frozen Falafel and fry them until brown and crispy and serve with some small sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and some pita bread. You can even put them into a small nice little sandwich and eat it on the way to work. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for listening and I hope you like it!
