Batata Harra literally means "Hot Potatoes". It is an original Lebanese Dish. Which makes it another Middle Eastern Dish. It is potatoes in a red sauce called in Arabic "Tiliyah".
Recipe
Ingredients
- Potatoes
- Vegetable oil
- Tomato paste
- Hot sauce
- Parsley
- 1 cup Lemon
- Garlic
Preparations
- Cut potatoes in fourths
- Put them in a pot with boiling water
- For around 5-10 minutes, when they are 70% ready
- Then put them aside and get the frying pan put oil in it, and start to fry the potatoes
- Keep frying until you can see the golden, orange crisp around the potatoes
- Then let them out and put them on a plate with a napkin on it so the access oil can be taken off of them
- Now take another pot and put in some oil
- And then put in 3-5 cloves of cut up garlic
- Then mix for 1 minute
- Put in the cut up parsley (take away the stick part of the parsley, and only add the leaves) and add 2 tbsp of salt
- Put in the 1 cup of lemon squeezed juice, then the tomato paste (1 jar), and then the hot sauce.
- Stir them together for sometime until they look liquidy
- Then grab the plate of potatoes and add them into the sauce
- While putting the stove on low heat mix them up until the potatoes are coated with the sauce.
- Then serve them on a cute plate and enjoy!!
